How To Promote Affiliate Products On YouTube
In this blog post, I'm going to share a detailed walkthrough of my affiliate marketing results and explain the strategies I use to achieve success. Unlike many theoretical guides, I believe in showing concrete results to back up my methods because I don't just teach affiliate marketing; I live it and results are essential to validate any strategy, and I'll start by showcasing mine. Let's dive right in.
Phase 1: Crunching the Numbers
1. Product Pricing: Know how much each plan costs. For example, a product may offer starter, standard, and pro plans.
2. Commission Percentage: Determine the percentage you'll earn. In the clickmagick example, it's 35% recurring commissions.
3. Payment Frequency and Method: Learn when and how you'll get paid. Some programs have a free trial period, which causes a slight lag in payment to account for refunds and then they pay you and then some programs have a minimum payout, which means you have to earn that amount in commissions to get paid out. The next thing you want to be aware of is how they pay, so for example some offers pay through paypal, stripe, cash app and many more so you have to be aware of how they pay so you have the right setup
Phase 2: Identifying Demand
1. Product Name Searches: Use tools like Google Keyword Planner to see how often the product name is searched. For ClickMagick, it gets 1,000 to 10,000 searches per month so that is some pretty good traffic to get in front of.
2. Product Use Without the Name: Think about the product's function, like what it is without using the name like for example, Clickmagick would be considered an "affiliate tracking software," or a “website tracking software” and you could use those to target searches without using the brand name itself.
3. Use Cases: Create content around various use cases. For ClickMagick, that could be "how to track affiliate sales" or "how to split test landing pages." because the product allows you to be able to do those things.
Phase 3: Prepping the Content
1. Keyword Optimization: Choose a primary keyword, like "how to track affiliate links," and make it the first part of your title for relevance.
2. Optimized Description: Include the main keyword three times in the description and use secondary keywords related to the primary one.
3. Affiliate Links: Place your affiliate link between the first three lines of your description.
4. Thumbnails and Tags: Analyze top-ranking thumbnails for patterns and create one that stands out and include relevant tags to boost your SEO.
Additional Tips
1. Engage with Comments: Check comments on top videos for unanswered questions and address them in your content because this will allow you to create a piece of content that stands out more then the others.
2. Set Ambitious Goals: Aim for challenging yet achievable goals to keep yourself motivated, like knowing why you need the money to stay focused and it is extremely important to set a goal that will force you to do the work.
